We’ve made steady progress at our central Alresford site with construction well underway, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in the town’s ongoing regeneration. Located on The Dean, the brownfield site is being transformed into The Fourteen, a thoughtfully designed collection of 14 characterful apartments alongside a new 40-space public car park.
As construction has already reached oversight level - with the block and beams being installed and steel structure in position - we welcomed key stakeholders for a site visit and progress update.
Our Sales & Marketing Director, David Oakley, met with Guy Macklin, Managing Director of Derek Warwick Developments, the company involved in the land, and ward councillor for Alresford, Margot Power, who has championed the development for the market town where she lives.
Councillor Margot Power, from Winchester City Council, said: “I am delighted to see another keystone in the redevelopment of The Dean going forward. We have been working on this since 2010, and it takes time to get it right, but it’s important we do get it right. This will benefit the local community and support the local shops and businesses here in Alresford. The approved scheme will provide a mix of one- and two-bedroom homes, resident parking, cycle and refuse storage, and improved pedestrian access through the centre of the development.
