Build Update - January 2026
Both The Mallard and The Mitford continue to take shape structurally, with the 3‑storey Mallard now more advanced internally, even if this isn’t immediately obvious from the exterior.
Recent progress on getting the buildings weather-tight has been affected by the run of very wet and very cold conditions we’ve experienced recently. Despite this, we were pleased to open our show home (Apartment 2 on the ground floor of The Mallard), which has been extremely well received by visitors.
Work is now underway to bring permanent electricity and water supplies into the development. Electricity is expected to be live shortly, with the water connection scheduled to follow soon after.
We have also begun forming the new site entrance, which requires some temporary disruption to the usual operation of The Dean. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these works within the public highway and thank our neighbours and visitors for their patience.
We remain on track to have our first apartments ready for occupation in Spring 2026, with the full development targeted for completion in Summer 2026, at which point the new public car park included within the scheme will be handed over to Winchester City Council.
